Little Onion Puppet Company, formed in 2016, is committed to high-quality puppet play-building with a focus on community engagement. The company's first production was Freddie in the Neighbourhood, created with the help of Grade 3 students in Vancouver, and winner of two Jessie Richardson Awards. Since then, Little Onion Puppet Co. has created three original puppet works - Dorothy: a mother-daughter memoir project, Otosan, and Scribble - and toured across Western Canada. Otosan is the winner of four Jessie Richardson Awards and Scribble premiered at the Gulali Festival in Yogyakarta, Indonesia, in 2025. LOPC also branches out into other media, including short film making, puppetry education, and zine-making.
